The question: a defensible, repeatable global outlook. What we built: SAGE, the first global MARKAL model, and later IEMM, our first fully parameter-driven model. What changed: five editions of the International Energy Outlook (2003–2007) ran on SAGE; IEO 2019's electricity analysis ran on IEMM — global projection became an annual production process, not a one-off study. The question: can Serbia and its neighbors reach net-zero by 2050, and by which routes? What we built: KiNESYS-WB6, a high-resolution regional model. What changed: the published decarbonization pathways in Serbia: Towards a Sustainable and Resilient Energy Future and the ECA net-zero analysis rest on its scenarios. The question: consistent, technology-rich views of power, buildings, industry, and bioenergy for a global outlook. What we built: a continuing analytical engagement, refreshed annually since 2016. SAGE — the first global MARKAL model — powered the International Energy Outlook from 2003 to 2007. IEMM, our parameter-driven global electricity market model, featured in IEO 2019.
